
Akira Yoshida Michel
Akira (Pamplona, Spain), started dancing Breakdance informally with his friends. At the age of 23 he began a transition towards contemporary dance and performing arts, starting with the company QuieroTeatro. After receiving the Main Artistic Grant of Navarre , he did his artistic studies at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance). He has worked as a performer with the companies "Hungry Sharks" in Hidden in Plain Sight, with the company of Francisco Córdova "Physical Momentum" in the play TO BE, with "Roberto Oliván Performing Arts ”in its production“ Cuculand Souvenir ”, with Lali Ayguadé Company in the piece “Hidden”, with “Ceren Orán” in the piece “Who is Frau Troffea”,and he co-choreographed “ Ahotsak ” for Ziomara Hormaetxe Company. He also performed with Julyen Hamilton ́s Company, “Allen ́s Line” in TRIO. Akira has worked with Yoann Bourgeois too, for Virgil Abloh ́s last fashion show of Louis Vuitton, and the new advertisement of J.O.T.T. He has also done other shootings for Polaroid. Apart from this, he created his own solos "Home", and “Burial of the Bark”, and co-created the duets “Gizaki” with Lali Ayguadé (a duet nominated to the awards “Premis de la Critica” and “Premis Butaca”. From this duet a short movie was created too, which was nominated to the “Rever Awards”) and “Hito” with Chey Jurado (Award of the audience in MasDanza, and 3 prizes in Paso a 2). Akira has also choreographed “Dreaming Nowhere” for Cobosmika, and he worked as the choreographer assistant for Lali Ayguadé in the creation “Sublimation” for the Korean National Company of Contemporary Dance, and “Shelter” for Verve Company.
He currently combines touring his own work, with tours with other companies and workshops all around the World in festivals like DeltebreDansa, B12, Kalamata International Dance Festival, Flip Helsinki, Portugal Summer Intensive, etc.
About this Course
This workshop is exclusively for SHARE The Dance Intensive. Dancers submitting their application need to have a strong dance technique and physicality and/or any other background that supports their participation in this workshop.
Workshop Description
Each day will begin with a warm-up lasting 1 hour to then continue with a 5-hour of practice and developer research session with Akira.

Application Requirements

All Applicants must be professional or pre-professional dancers, movers, or performers, with a minimum age of 16 years old.

You must provide a maximum of 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing either improvising or choreographed solo. No group piece. No Instagram or Facebook link.

A full detailed resume is to be uploaded (max 15Mb) or via a weblink (google drive, website, etc...)
Acceptance
Within 3 days after receiving your application form, we will send our response via email. A 7 days period to pay your tuition is required once our email was sent. Every un-paid application is canceled on the 8th day at 9 am.
You can pay via Credit Card or Offline by bank transfer.
Accommodation
Once accepted and tuition paid we can help provide accommodation on request and if available for 40€ p/ night at the venue at Dock 11 Eden***** Villa
