The École de danse contemporaine de Montréal is holding auditions for its 3-year professional training program in Contemporary Dance-Interpretation, starting in August 2026.

Specializing in contemporary dance training, the École de dance contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) has positioned itself as a centre of excellence in the Canadian performing arts community. Recognized for its leading-edge, rigorous training, the EDCM is fertile ground for research and artistic development as well as for the emergence of new trends. It offers a college level education based on the mastery of contemporary dance techniques, the development of artistic and intellectual knowledge and versatility of performance. Since its founding in 1981, it has trained professional dancers who have gone on to earn national and international recognition. The EDCM is an educational institution that is accredited by the Quebec Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’enseignement supérieur, and supported by Canadian Heritage.

The audition is divided in two steps:
1/ First round audition:– By video before January 8th, 2026 at 11.59 p.m. (Eastern Canada time). 2/ Final audition (upon invitation): February 20-22, 2026, in Montreal

How to apply: For all applications, please fill the online form before January 8th, 2026 (link below).– Candidates must have a high school diploma before June 30, 2026– A minimum level of French or English is required
