A short focus on the renowned and intricate universe of Crystal Pite in this exclusive 3-day intensive workshop in Berlin, led by former Kidd Pivot dancer Jiří Pokorný. Spanning 15 hours of rigorous training (5 hours daily), this laboratory is dedicated to the repertoire of celebrated choreographer Crystal Pite, whose work is lauded internationally for its raw physicality, fluid emotional depth, and shifting textures. WORKSHOP LEADER The workshop is led by leading choreographer Jiří Pokorný, a close collaborator and former company member of Kidd-Pivot. Under his expert guidance, participants will first immerse themselves in the specific movement language of Crystal Pite. Expect a focus on deep grounding and the awakening of sensory awareness to cultivate a body that is responsive, soft, yet explosively powerful. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Following a warm-up based on Kidd Pivot Improvisation tools, the sessions will transition into the study of several sections of repertoires. Dancers will explore the intricate musicality and specific signature of Crystal Pite.
