Antonin Rioche

Antonin Rioche (1994, Angers) is a Paris-based director, choreographer, and visual artist. He is the founder and artistic director of Funny People, a collaborative platform dedicated to research, creation, education, and performance. He trained at the Ballet Junior of Geneva where he performed works by Roy Assaf, Marina Mascarell, Alexander Ekman, Hofesh Shechter, and Barak Marshall before continuing his career as a freelance dancer with Olivier Dubois, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Theo Clinkard, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. His debut solo Ohboy! (2017), created during the Eastman Summer Intensive, became an international success, with its short film adaptation receiving multiple awards at film, fashion, and dance festivals.
From 2018 to 2024, Antonin was artist-in-residence at Korzo Theater in The Hague, where he created The Others, Finally a Sign of Life, Huidhonger, Glitter, Ohgirl!, and We are doing great. His work has toured internationally and has been supported by NDT, Holland Dance Festival, Mart Foundation, CCN Créteil, and Orsolina28. Blending realism with surrealism, Antonin creates immersive experiences that resonate on sensory and emotional levels, weaving philosophy and imagination into narratives that feel both universal and intimate.
