Kai-Chun Chuang

Kai-Chun Chuang is a Berlin-based freelance artist from Taiwan, working as a dancer, rehearsal assistant, performer, and choreographer. He completed his master’s degree at Anton Bruckner University (Austria) in 2019 and has since collaborated with numerous institutions, including Komische Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Volkstheater Rostock, Fabien Prioville Dance Company, Musikfabrik Köln, Westflügel Leipzig, Heimathafen Berlin, Landestheater Linz, Inter AKT Initiative Stuttgart, and Festspielhaus St. Pölten.
In 2019, he performed in Decadance by Ohad Naharin and Ballroom by Shahar Binyamini. As an assistant to choreographer Shahar Binyamini, he has been involved in projects for Teatro alla Scala Milan (Italy), Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (Belgium), Opéra National du Rhin (France), Slovenské národné divadlo Bratislava (Slovakia), and South Korea’s Art Project Bora.
Kai continues to explore movement and artistic expression through his ongoing collaborations, including his work with Austrian choreographer Rose Breuss in Choreographia [Inter]Austriaca.
