Yi-Chi is a Taiwanese freelance dancer/performer. He earned his BFA from Taipei National University of the Arts before moving to Europe in 2018. A former demi-soloist with Staatsballett Berlin under Sasha Waltz and Johannes Öhman, he has collaborated with acclaimed choreographers such as Alan Lucien Øyen, Alexandra Waierstall and Anouk van Dijk, performing internationally in works like The American Moth and Story, story, die. Recent highlights include performing in Chiroptera at the Paris Opera House and Perfect Sky at Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Passionate about interdisciplinary performance, Yi-Chi also collaborates frequently with visual artists, including Young-jun Tak and Marianna Simnett, on dance films and projects exhibited at institutions like Berlin’s Hamburger Bahnhof.
