Open Call: Dance Artist to Teach at Singapore Contemporary Dance Festival
12.ance Festival 2026 is looking for dance artists who will be in Singapore from 1 – 20 Dec 2026 to lead a 1.5-hour class, sharing a distinctive practice, methodology, or approach with the dance community in Singapore.

12.ance Festival 2026 invites experienced professional dance artists who will already be in or travelling through Singapore between 1–20 December 2026 to share a class or workshop with the local dance community.
We are interested in artists with a developed physical and artistic practice, shaped through substantial professional experience. We welcome proposals that offer an insight into a distinctive movement practice, methodology, training approach, artistic research, or creative process.
Rather than a conventional technique class, we are particularly interested in practices that reflect the artist’s own ongoing research and ways of working—something that has been developed, tested, and embodied over time, and that could offer Singapore-based dance artists a meaningful encounter with a different approach to movement and artistic practice.
Classes/workshops may be 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on the content and proposed format. The duration can be discussed with the festival team.

About 12.ance Festival:12.ance Festival is an annual contemporary dance and movement festival in Singapore that brings together performance, artistic practice, and creative exchange. Held at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, the festival creates opportunities for dancers, artists, and audiences to encounter different perspectives on contemporary dance through artistic exchange, interdisciplinary encounters, and shared experiences.
Through this invitation, we hope to connect with international artists who will already be in or passing through Singapore in December, creating meaningful exchanges with the local dance community and opportunities to encounter practices and methodologies that may not often be accessible here.
