Léo Lérus, born in Aux Abymes, Guadeloupe, 1980
The first school of Léo Lérus is that of the choreographer and pedagogue Léna Blou. There he discovered traditional Gwo-ka dance and contemporary and classical dance. Following the advice of his teacher, Léo joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP) at the age of 14 to continue his training as a contemporary dancer. On leaving the conservatory in 1999, he began his professional career as a performer. he danced with various companies in England, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Israel including the Random Dance Company (Wayne McGregor), the Batsheva Dance Company (Ohad Naharin) and the LEV Dance Company (Sharon Eyal/Gai Behar) for which , he became a coach and assistant to Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar
