The registrations for the eighth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition ( RIDCC ) are open. Choreographers from around the world are warmly invited to submit their duets. Registrations are open until March 1, 2026, and all style are welcome.
The winner of RIDCC 2026 will receive the XL Production Award, valued at 100,000 euros. This exceptional opportunity allows the winning choreographer to create a new, autonomous production with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, including a national tour. It is a meaningful step forward for any artist working in the international dance field.
In addition to the main award, all 16 selected participants are eligible for one of the Partner Awards. Each partner contributes its own opportunity, ranging from creative residencies to the development or presentation of new work.
This year, the competition will take place on June 18, 19 and 20, 2026.
