About Crystal Pite

Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite is a former company member of Ballet British Columbia and William Forsythe’s Ballett Frankfurt.

In a choreographic career spanning 35 years, Pite has created more than sixty works for companies such as The Royal Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, The Paris Opera Ballet, and the National Ballet of Canada. She is known for works that courageously address themes such as trauma, addiction, conflict, consciousness and mortality; her bold and original vision has earned her international acclaim and inspired an entire generation of dance artists. About Jiří Pokorný

Jiří Pokorný is a Czech choreographer based in The Hague, Netherlands. He graduated from the Prague National Dance Conservatory in 2000 and went on dancing with Laterna Magika in Prague. Three years later he joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 in The Hague and continued his carrier with NDT1. More

About this Course

This workshop is exclusively for SHARE The Dance Intensive. Each day will begin with a warm-up led by Jiří Pokorný on the improvisation tools used at Kidd Pivot for 1h to 1h30 min to then continue with a 3 hours repertoire workshop on the work of Crystal Pite

Application Requirements

  • All Applicants must be professional or pre-professional dancers, movers, or performers, with a minimum age of 16 years old.

  • You must provide a maximum of 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing either improvising or choreographed solo. No group piece. No Instagram or Facebook link.

  • A full detailed resume is to be uploaded (max 15MB) or via a weblink (Google Drive, Wetransfer)

Acceptance

 

Accepted dancers will be informed within 3 days by email with all the further steps to take to join us.
