Ludovico Pace
Marco Goecke
Ludovico Pace was born in Rome and grew up there and in Paris. At the age of nine he received his first ballet training at the Académie Chaptal in Paris, one year later he attended the Ballet School of the Paris Opera. He continued his education at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. After competing at Prix de Lausanne, he came to Stuttgart, where he graduated from the John Cranko Schule. The following season he was taken into the Corps de ballet of the Stuttgart Ballet. His personal repertoire with the Stuttgart Ballet includes solo roles such as, Sleeping Beauty (Marcia Haydée), Gaité Parisienne (Maurice Bejart), Krabat and Salome (Demis Volpi), La Sylphide (Peter Schaufuss), Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, The Taming of the Shrew and Initials R.B.M.E (John Cranko), Leonce and Lena (Christian Spuck), Siebte Symphony (Uwe
Scholz) and The Second Details (William Forsythe) He also created works with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Christian Spuck, Bridget Breiner, Edward Clug, Jorma Elo,Louis Stiens and created and danced many pieces from Marco Goecke.
He also participated also in various galas and festivals around the world. He started assisting Louis Stiens in 2014 for his first major work for the Stuttgart Ballet, they collaborated many times after. In 2016 Marco Goecke asked him to assist him for a new creation for the John Cranko school, that lead him to become Marco assistant for further works for the company and outside. Since leaving the Stuttgart Ballet in 2018, he has been setting Marco Goecke’s works in companies such as L’Opera National de Paris, Greek National Ballet, Nurnberg Staastheater and others as well as guest teaching and giving workshops. He is a Ballet master with the Staatstheater Hannover since the 2019/2020 season under the direction of Marco Goecke.
