Marina Rodriguez Hernandez

La Veronal - Marcos Morau


Marina Rodriguez originally from Valencia, Spain, obtained her professional Degree in Classical Dance awarded by the Professional Dance Conservatoire in Ribarroja, Spain. During her dance studies she participated in various dance contests in Spain, Cuba and Italy and holds several national and international awards. At the end of her studies she was awarded the prize for excellence by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the following year she graduated at Central School of Ballet obtaining a Ba (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Performance, from the University of Kent, UK. She has been since then working for several companies as a freelancer, such as Cienfuegosdanza Company in Valencia, Alexander Whitley Dance Company in London, Emma Frances Martin Dance Company in Carlow, Ireland, DanceLines2 in ROH, London, Anna Nowak in London, Renaud Wiser Dance Company in London, Ai Do Project Iker Arrue, Madrid/ Euskadi, Tanz Luzerner Theater, Switzerland. Since 2013 to present days she is mostly touring nationally and internationally with the company La Veronal and occasionally teaching workshops or assisting Marcos Morau when creating pieces abroad such as “Tundra” and ”Waltz” for the National Dance Company of Wales, “Carmen” for The Danish Royal Ballet, “Orfeo ed Euridice” for the Tanz Luzerner Theater, “SSANG-SSANG” for the KNCDC, ”La belle au bois dormant” for the Ballet de L'opéra National de Lyon, “Nachtträume” for Ballett Zürich amongst others...

In 2017 she obtained best female dancer catalunya critics award for the piece Kova¬Geographic tools-La Veronal. She also collaborates as a photographer with different artistic projects. In 2023 she started working also with Atresbandes theater company in Barcelona.
