Choreographer Massimo Gerardi – designated director of the dance company of the G.H. Theater Görlitz-Zittau – is organising an audition for contemporary female dancers for the 2024/25 season.

The choreographer Massimo Gerardi is looking for a contemporary female dancer, either an apprentice (a graduate of dance program in the school year 23/24) or an experienced dancer. No pointe work is required
The one-year contract offered is:
-either as a solo/group dancer – the fee is based on the fees of publicly subsidised German theatres (NV_Tanz)
-or as an apprentice – the fee is based on the usual offer in this type of contract at publicly subsidised German theatres.
The 10-member dance company of the G.H. Theatre Görlitz-Zittau presents every theatre season two new dance premieres, revivals of older productions as well as musical and cross-over productions. Guest choreographers are also planned for the next two seasons.
The Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau also produces musical theatre for the entire cultural region of Upper Lusatia-Lower Silesia. With opera, operetta, musical and dance performances as well as concerts by the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie, the Görlitz ensemble also regularly performs in Bautzen, Hoyerswerda, Kamenz and other locations in the cultural region.The General Director of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theatre Görlitz-Zittau is Dr Daniel Morgenroth.

After an initial selection based on the submitted video, the candidates will be invited to a live audition. This will include a contemporary class and choreographic sequences.
There are no fees to participate in the audition. Selected candidates coming to the audition in Görlitz must provide for their travel, accommodation, and food.
